The First Nations Technology Council in partnership with Jacqueline Jennings of Fireweed Fellowship is hosting a circle talk – Pandemic Pivots: Entrepreneurship during COIVD-19. With honoured entrepreneurs Joella Hogan, Lynn-Marie Angus and Darian Kovacs.
Adaptability during times of disruption is one of the greatest strengths a business can possess. For Indigenous peoples, it has been the key to our survival in a country that had other plans for us. Whether it be legislatively mandated erasure or economic exclusion, our communities have demonstrated their resilience in preserving their culture — adapting ancestral wisdom to modern day innovations.
COVID-19 brought a new challenge to our people, and an opportunity to pivot and adapt once again. Please join us in celebrating a few of these entrepreneurs whose businesses flourished in 2020.
