Working in partnership with Carden Consulting, FNPSS has developed the Pre and Post Election Training series for BC First Nations running for a position of elected leadership, recently elected leaders, as well as administrators and senior manager working in their governments during elections. This training explores roles and responsibilities of elected leaders, leadership skill building, and governance training, and participants leave with a better understanding of the main challenges experienced during elections.
Registration is at no cost to those who will commit to participating in all sessions and agree to provide details feedback on the individual sessions and overall content and approach.

The Pre and Post Election Training series is offered in through two streams: Pre-Election Training for Administrators, and Pre and Post Election Training for Leaders. Designed for Administrators and senior managers working through elections in their Nation’s governments, The Pre-Election Training for Administrators aims to help BC First Nations professionals through the transition of the election process. The Pre and Post Election Training for Leaders works to prepare BC First Nations considering running for a position of election leadership, and those who have recently been elected as Chief or Councillor.
