Join us for the second panel session in a three-part series titled Towards Collaborative Governance and Shared Innovation.
In this session titled Considering Legal and Governance Principles: Perspectives on Civic and Indigenous Relationship Building, Indigenous, municipal, and academic leaders will join online to share their perspective on the legal and governance aspects that impact municipal-Indigenous relationships in BC. From conversations about the legal backdrop of intergovernmental relations (UNDRIP, DRIPA, TRC) to the ethical responsibilities to engage in consultation and coalition building, this event will explore the past, the present, and the future of Indigenous and local government relationships.
