FNPSS First Nations Engagement Sessions

The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) is undertaking engagement with BC First Nations. We are inviting First Nations to participate in online dialogue sessions about the ways that FNPSS can support First Nations to strengthen their administration and governance capacity. Some of the sessions are primarily for First Nation Administrators and Administration, and others are providing an opportunity to hear from Chief and Council. However, all sessions are inclusive, so please choose a session that is convenient for you.

The goals for this dialogue are to

  • Hear from First Nations on their most pressing governance and administration capacity needs.
  • Gather input and guidance on the work of FNPSS and to reconfirm priorities.
  • Determine whether FNPSS is meeting the needs of First Nations.

August & September Dialogue Sessions are concluded

Virtual Dialogue Sessions

August 18, 2021: Completed

August 24, 2021: Completed

September 9, 2021: Completed

The August and September sessions are now closed. These sessions reviewed what we heard in May and June and offered an opportunity to build on what we heard.

The Spring consultation sessions are concluded

May & June Dialogue Sessions

The 18 May and June engagment sessions were primarily for First Nation Administrators and Administration. However, all sessions were inclusive, and we encouraged all First Nation representatives to attend the session(s) that works for them.

Questions?

If you have questions about the dialogue process, or need assistance finding a dialogue session that works for you, please email info@fnps.ca.

Thank you in advance for sharing your time, experience, and knowledge to help guide the work of FNPSS and help us ensure we are providing the most relevant and needed capacity support to BC First Nation administrations.
