Intensive RIM Assessment Workshop
The Intensive RIM Assessment Workshop is designed to help First Nations to determine the strengths and weaknesses of their own records and information management program. The Workshop is delivered to smaller cohorts over a one-to-two-month period and includes attending intensive workshops, conducting interviews within your own organization, and analyzing results with the support of expert RIM coaches.
Part 1
Provides an overview of the assessment questionnaire tool – which has been designed to specifically fit the needs and circumstances of a First Nation – and how to use it for a departmental approach. The questionnaire and interview guide ensures participants are asking the right questions that align with Information Governance Maturity Model that covers the eight fundamental areas to implement a successful RIM program: accountability, access, integrity, protection, compliance, availability, retention and disposition.
Between sessions
As participants begin conducting their interviews, they will have an opportunity to check-in with facilitators and other RIM experts for support and guidance along the way.
Part 2
The participants gather again for a review and analysis of their findings during the interview process and determine with the support of RIM experts next steps and recommendations to address priority areas.
