Foundations of First Nation Administration

The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) invites First Nations Band Managers, Chief Administrative Officers and Executive Directors, or those in an equivalent role looking to expand their network, skills and knowledge in administration to register for the 2023 offering of Foundations of First Nation Administration.

This will be a 6-week comprehensive, introductory series, which combines virtual and in-person learning. This course will feature 24 sessions by experts and key note speakers and will provide opportunities for wellness check-ins, networking and skills development.

Through active engagement and collaboration, participants will strengthen their understanding of topics integral to First Nations administration such as strategic planning, leadership skills, finance, contracts, communications, community engagement, economic development and more!

August 21st to 24th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – In-Person in Victoria, BC at The Parkside Hotel & Spa

August 29th & August 31st from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm – Virtual via Zoom

September 5th & 7th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm – Virtual via Zoom

September 12th & 14th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm – Virtual via Zoom

September 19th & 28th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm – Virtual via Zoom

ONE WEEK BREAK from September 25th to 29th 

October 2nd to 5th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – In-Person in Prince George, BC. Venue TBA.
