Indigenous peoples are looking for ways to grow their own economy so their membership can prosper. Throughout history, they have faced obstacles that have limited their growth and have had to look at other ways of creating prosperity. It is very important that we understand one another in order to work together for a prosperous future.

Kendal Netmaker takes you into the worldview of Indigenous Peoples and how we can all prosper together. Lets Build Economies For A Prosperous Future!

Format: 60 minute keynote

Attendees will gain:

  • Deep insights into Indigenous Peoples economy opportunities
  • Understand the importance of Indigenous spirituality/beliefs
  • Understand the similarities/differences between different Indigenous groups in Canada
  • Learn how to build an economy that is alignment with indigenous values

FNPSS invites all current and aspiring First Nations administrators to join a 90-minute Fireside Chat with Vaughn Sunday, Executive Director of the Adams Lake Indian Band (ALIB). Vaughn was born and raised on the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation, is a Mohawk language speaker, and is a member of the Wolfclan of the Akwesasne longhouse. After 27 years working with the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, Vaughn completed a Masters degree in Public Administration from Queens University and moved into his current position with ALIB. Vaughn is proud to have played a part in assisting the Adams Lake community in such areas as housing, capital infrastructure, and financial management.
