Our Gathering 2023

We invite you to mark your calendars for May 16-18, 2023, to join us for the 10th year of Our Gathering, kexwkexwntsùt chet, tə sq̓əq̓ip ct, co-hosted by the First Nations Leadership Council, Indigenous Services Canada, and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada.

The event will be held on the unceded, traditional, ancestral territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations at the J.W. Marriott Parq Vancouver Hotel. This year, a hybrid model will be available for participants to attend either in-person or virtually. As more information regarding registration and the agenda becomes available, further details will be shared.

In the coming weeks, we will be in touch again via email with a questionnaire to hear from you on desired topics and suggestions for the event. FNPSS sharing webinars are informal conversations to provide a space for First Nations to discuss progress, challenges, and ideas with those in similar roles. The webinar will be 60-minutes in duration, with time reserved for a Q&A period.

Join us to engage and network with BC First Nations Administration, Senior Management, Elected Leaders, Federal and Provincial government and other First Nations support institutions.

Travel will be supported for eligible First Nation delegates. Registration will open at a later date.
