Join the First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) for a youth internship Sharing Webinar hosted by Ananya Bhattacharya, Project Manager, and Na Beh Ste interns, Tashyla Teschuk and Lea French from Takla Nation.
Inspired by culture, community, and prosperity, Takla Nation began the “Na Beh Ste”(sitting in line) Internship Program. The Na Beh Ste Internship Program is a unique and innovative culturally immersed 11-month internship program, hotz’anah (the Takla way). This pilot program provides young adults with an insight into various aspects of First Nations governance – Noh’ih at’tehn (our work here) – and prepares them for a wide range of careers through professional and leadership training.
During this event, the speakers from Takla Nation will introduce the creation and implementation of the program, and further discuss the successes and challenges experienced along the way. Ananya, Tashyla and Lea will share their experiences as Na Beh Ste interns, and how the program has positively impacted themselves and the community. This Sharing Webinar is the next part in our Nation-to-Nation series focusing on succession planning. FNPSS sharing webinars are informal conversations aimed to provide a space for First Nations to discuss progress, challenges, and ideas with those working in similar roles. The webinar will be 60-minutes in duration, with time reserved for a Q&A period.
