FNPSS Holiday Webinar: Raising Our Hands

The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) invites you to a join us for an hour of festive cheer to celebrate the strength and resilience of all of the amazing people and organizations that have been part of our collective journey in 2020. Join us as we reminisce, review achievements, acknowledge supporters, and wish our best to our two new scholarship recipients, all while enjoying live music by Murray Porter and drawing for some great prizes. While the event is free to attend, we encourage you to make a donation to the First Nations Public Service Scholarship endowment fund at https://www.vancouverfoundation.ca/lgmabc (see Donate button at the bottom of the page). This fund supports professional development training for First Nation individuals working in a BC Band Administration or Band Office.

We acknowledge the trauma caused by Residential Schools, honour the survivors, and remember the children who did not come home. Our offices will be closed today, and we will reopen on Monday, October 2nd.

ARMA Vancouver provides four Bursary awards each valued up to $500 CAD every year. Two are designated to ARMA members and two are designated for members or employees of First Nations (whether or not they are an ARMA member).

ARMA Vancouver bursaries are intended to provide financial support towards records management education costs such as tuition, certification exams (ICRM & IGP), books, travel expenses, and other education-related costs. The application period runs from September 13 to 27 for 2022.

The ARMA Kelowna Conference is being held from Oct 5-7, 2022, and would be an ideal opportunity for any bursary recipients – plus you can check-out workshop sessions at the conference being led by FNPSS!
