Get involved with our “Train-the-Trainer” program

Are you interested in advancing your career in Human Resources (HR) or Records and Information Management (RIM) while helping to build capacity amongst First Nations organizations and communities?

FNPSS is looking for new participants for our “Train-the-Trainer” program. This program will develop a cohort of individuals, who are already knowledgeable in the fields of Records and Information Management (RIM) or Human Resources (HR), to deliver our Management Training Academy (MTA) training program to other First Nations individuals and communities across BC. This program will take place virtually over August and September 2022, and Trainees who have successfully completed the program will then deliver RIM and HR MTAs from mid-fall 2022 to early winter 2023, depending on scheduling.

The Train-the-Trainer program will require a 10-to-20-hour commitment from interested Trainees, which includes attending virtual learning sessions as well as completing self-directed learning of the MTA materials.

If you have substantive experience working in RIM or HR, have worked with First Nations communities, and are interested in being a part of the program, please contact the FNPSS team at info@fnps.ca to learn more. For further information on the MTA program, please visit Management Training Academies – First Nations Public Service Secretariat (fnps.ca)
